I would like to give an introduction / workshop on possibilities to expand Fashion and Jewelry .
In general Fashion and Jewelry are considered as just ornament. I think that they have a potential that goes much further than their beauty. They can actually be very important communicative tools.
Some examples are Hussein Chalayan ( Fashion ) and Yuka Oyama ( Jewelry ) (Please check their work on the internet).
Please think in advance about the person that you would like to design for (fictional, or real person and please avoid supermodels!!)
Take with you:
1. Some photos of the person you are designing for,
2. as many materials as you can from the following list : drawing set , aluminium or any metal that is easy to cut, beads , textile, plastics (straws or plastic bags) , tape, thread, metal thread, paper, cardboard, felt and of course any materials YOU like.
3. and the following tools : rulers, scissors ( for paper and textile ), glue , super glue , thread and needles.
